Shirene’s love for Iranian dance began at an early age and was nurtured by a family deeply rooted in Iranian culture. Through family traditions, celebrations, music, and—most importantly—dance, she developed a lasting appreciation for her heritage and the joy of artistic expression.

Before the founding of Beshkan Dance Academy, Shirene explored her passion for
Iranian dance by attending classes offered by other organizations. When Beshkan
Dance Academy was established in 2003, she became an integral part of the organization, performing with the company while also teaching young girls and sharing her love and enthusiasm for Iranian dance.
Shirene serves as the lead instructor for Beshkan Fitness. a unique and energetic
workout class inspired by Iranian dance that is offered in multiple Bay Area cities.
Additionally, she continues to inspire the next generation by teaching dance to the
young girls.

Outside of Beshkan, Shirene holds a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from San José State University and works as a Program Manager for a biomedical company in the Bay Area.

Beshkan Dance Academy has remained a meaningful and constant part of Shirene’s life. She is passionate about sharing Iranian culture through dance and inspiring young girls—including her own daughter—to follow their dreams, embrace their heritage, and bring joy and positivity to others.

Autria’s journey in dance began at an early age with tap and ballet before she discovered her passion for Iranian dance at Beshkan Dance Academy at just 5 years old. Her love and dedication to dance continued throughout her youth as a member of the Los Gatos High School Select Dance Team, where she served as Co-Captain during her senior year. She later expanded her performance experience as a member of the University of the Pacific Tigers Cheer Team, performing at Division I collegiate sporting events.

Having grown up with Beshkan Dance Academy, Autria’s connection to the organization has continued to evolve over the years. In 2017, she began taking on a leadership role by assisting with classes. Her passion for teaching and sharing Persian culture eventually led her to become an instructor, where she continues to inspire and guide young dancers.

In addition to teaching, Autria remains an active member of the Beshkan Dance Academy Performance Group, performing at cultural events and celebrations throughout the United States. Through both teaching and performing, she is proud to help preserve and share the beauty of Iranian culture and dance with the next generation.

Outside of the studio, Autria earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and currently works as a General Dentist in the Bay Area.

For Autria, Beshkan Dance Academy is more than just a place to dance—it has been an important part of her life since childhood. She is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where students can grow in confidence, express their creativity, connect with their culture, and experience the same joy and love for Persian dance that has shaped her own journey.

Donya’s artistic journey began at the age of 3, when she discovered her love for dance and performance as a dedicated member of Beshkan Dance Academy. Growing up inspired by her mother and aunt’s passion for the arts and cultural expression, Donya developed a deep connection to her Iranian heritage through dance. Her passion for sharing that connection with others led her to establish a Persian Dance Club in high school, where she introduced her peers to Persian dance, culture, and traditions.

Donya is currently pursuing a degree in Dance at Cabrillo College while actively involved in the theater community throughout Santa Cruz County. Her artistic talents extend beyond performing, as she also works in costuming and choreography—skills she developed and nurtured throughout her years at Beshkan.

With her diverse artistic talents, strong cultural connection, and passion for both learning and teaching, Donya beautifully embodies the spirit and values of the Beshkan community.

Saba’s love for the arts began in childhood, when she first discovered her passion for dance and began teaching herself. Although she joined Beshkan Dance Academy during her college years in 2022, her appreciation for music and the arts had always been an important part of her life. She began playing the flute at the age of 11 and continued throughout high school.

Since joining Beshkan, Saba’s journey has continued to grow and evolve. She began as a student, stepped into the role of assistant, and is now excited to begin teaching her own classes.

Outside of dance, Saba balances her passion for the arts with a strong commitment to public service. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2023 with a degree in Political Science. Her path has taken her from the Bay Area to Washington, D.C., where she contributed to the 2024 presidential election as a political associate. Deeply committed to serving the Iranian community, she currently brings that passion to her work in immigration at the PARS Equality Center. She hopes to continue serving her community and is currently pursuing her goal of attending law school.

With her natural warmth, enthusiasm, and love for working with children, Saba is excited to share her passion for dance and welcome students into every class she teaches at Beshkan Dance Academy.
